Administration and Management Trainee ($37,066 - $55,844)
Register to take the Civil Service test for the Administration and Management Trainee position between November 29, 2017, and January 20, 2018. 

  • Participates in seminars, performs training assignments, and observes technicians and administrators performing a variety of duties as part of an overall training and development program.  
  • Attends training sessions and participates in formal and on-the-job training assignments, and is assigned more difficult and complex analytical work as the training period nears completion.
  • Prepares detailed and comprehensive reports and develop recommendations on projects completed
  • Presents orally the results of studies and analyses, and explains rationale and judgments used in arriving at conclusions.  
  • Participates in a variety of assignments designed to broaden experience in Commonwealth organizations, functions, and programs.
  • Employees in this class may participate in the performance of their subordinates work consistent with operational or organizational requirements.
The qualifications are: A bachelor's degree, including 15 credit hours in public administration, business administration, or a related area.

PLCB Marketing Analyst 2 ($47,883 - $72,822)
Register to take the Civil Service test for the Marketing Analyst 2 position between November 29, 2017, and January 20, 2018. 
  • Analyzes marketing/sales data to devise unique communications, promotions, advertisements, presentations, visuals, or other marketing-related materials
  • Analyzes the effectiveness and impact of marketing programs upon retail sales
  • Makes recommendations for marketing programs and initiatives and ensures they comply with commonwealth and agency requirements
  • Supervises lower-level analytical and technical employees
The qualifications are: One year as a PLCB Marketing Analyst 1; or two years of professional marketing, advertising, or merchandising experience and a bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.

PLCB Marketing Analyst Trainee ($37,066 - $55,844)
Register to take the Civil Service test for the Marketing Analyst Trainee position between November 29, 2017, and January 20, 2018. 

  • Participates in on-the-job training to develop understanding and competence in marketing initiatives for the PLCB
  • Participates in work groups focusing on store renovations and placement, advertising and promotions, branding, or writing or editing ad copy
  • Performs analytical reviews of proposed marketing initiatives or after-event reviews
  • Assists with in-store merchandising and plan-o-gram efforts
The qualifications are: A bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.

Seasonal Opportunities
The PLCB employs hundreds of Seasonal Liquor Store Clerks during the summer months (June, July, and August) and the holiday season (November and December). These positions do not require a Civil Service examination. To apply for a seasonal position, please complete an online application.
